He recently bought a tool for twisting wire. I thought the tool would be great for a future project.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class='centered' src=\"\/images\/WireTwisterIMG_0531.jpg\" alt=\"Wire and Wire Twist Tool\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I selected steel wire\u201324 and 18 gauge. A length of wire was cut with the twist pliers\u2019 handy cutter. The wire was bent in half. A clamp was inserted through the loop created and to a stationary object (handle of a drawer). Then it was time to twist the wire. <\/p>\n<p>Twisting the 24 gauge wire was easy peasy. But, the 18 gauge wire was really a bit too thick.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class='centered' src=\"\/images\/WireTwisterIMG_0540.jpg\" alt=\"Wire Twist Tool\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class='centered' src=\"\/images\/WireIMG_0556.jpg\" alt=\"Twisted Wire\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The top twisted wire is 24 gauge, the bottom is 18 gauge.<\/p>\n<p>The tool was purchased from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aircraftspruce.com\/catalog\/topages\/econwiretwister.php\/\" >Aircraft Spruce<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"hrVisible\" \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My husband is a private pilot and does some of the mechanical work on his plane.
