First Glance Did Not Notice Spots
One of the things that can happen with age is a change in vision. I don’t typically wear corrected lenses when working in studio. Wasn’t until I looked at the plant through the camera did I see the spots.
Looking more, saw what appears to be an inverted V with a Y.
A package of plants arrived from a plant/artist friend.
This is the way the plant looked when I unwrapped it Saturday afternoon.

And after I potted it up Sunday morning. The leaves were wilted, so I removed them.

Untrapped Cactus, One of Three Buds
I was cleaning a garden and found this torn leaf. How did it get torn?
This leaf appears to have been eaten.
Bunny, Mushroom, Freesia, and Dianthus
Freesia has a lovely fragrance. The dianthus does not produce a fragrance similar to cloves. Its fragrance is typical carnation.
Senecio Bud
The Senecio was a cutting from my first Senecio plant. The plant roots where it lands. It does produce a fragrance similar to cloves.
I like that the plant fills empty spaces.

Tucked away on the back of a shelf in the greenhouse was this dead plant. I just couldn’t bear to toss in the recycle bin. Kept thinking one day I might slice it open and just maybe, use it in a piece.
Today I found a plantlet rooted in a wee bit of soil at the base of the saucer.
When I opened my flower press today, I found something interesting…
…the leaves that I gathered from a dying succulent now have plantlets. How cool is that?!
One of the reasons that I am loving succulents is how resilient many are and often how easy it is to make more plants.
The dried leaf colors and textures are gorgeous!
The dried leaf brought to mind my bronze dagger series, Tools for Rent.
