Monarch Caterpillars and Milkweed

A few days ago I checked out my friends’s garden and was pleasantly surprised to see Monarch caterpillars living on his milkweed plants.

According to the National Wildlife Federation there are 12 native milkweeds for Monarchs. None of which are the Asclepias growing in my friend’s garden.

I snagged a couple of pods.

I planted 25 seeds in 5 pots.

Put them in the studio.

  1. Cool! is milk weed stinky? cause we have a really stinky plant that is growing in Pismo! but….. it has a magenta flower…
